Congrats to the recent Graduate!

Jayda "graduated" from Pre-School this week. She and her 3 other friends that have been going to pre-school at each others houses twice a week since last fall had their graduation this week. They each got a certificate and a book to celebrate finishing the big year of school. They really enjoyed all their lessons, the play time, the holidays, and just being good friends. I thought I would share some photos of her from the year- she loves to see them and remember the stories from each picture.

First day of school with her backpack on ready to go.

School is over!

Well, it has finally happened- SCHOOL IS DONE!!!! As of last Monday, I have seen my last patient as a dental student at Michigan. All of my graduation requirements are finished, all my boards are passed, and my degree will be processed as of Thursday of this week! Then of course is graduation which is set for Friday May 2nd. It feels good to be done and to have survived the last 4 years of dental school.

My class had a Banquet dinner this week to celebrate us finishing up. It was ok, but not as exciting as I had expected. A little video of classmates, some "stats" of the last 4 years, a long slideshow of photos, and dinner.

Now that school is over, we have less then two weeks until we move. It is time to get packing! We have done a lot already, but it takes so long that it feels like we need to spend hours everyday until it is done.

Then the exciting move to our new place in Minnesota..... keep posted, it may take us awhile to get the internet and get anything posted once we move!

Girls Trip!!

This past weekend I finally got a chance to take a short 28 hour trip with my friends and leave the kids home with Todd. Big thanks to Todd for watching the kids! Six of my girlfriends and I loaded up in a mini van on Friday and drove down to Columbus, Ohio for the half marathon and 5K races. I was training earlier this year for the half marathon and my nasty injury reared it's ugly head again, so I took many weeks off and decided to run the 5K. Race day was a little chilly and windy but all of us had a great time and did well. It was my slowest 5k time, but I was happy to be running pain free! I have such an amazing group of friends who are so fun, supportive and great to be around. I will miss them dearly when we move!
We thought of and missed all our other running friends who weren't able to come. Now the only question is where to go next year!
